I kept seeing the same problem: people were curious about peptides, but the information available was often overly technical, heavily promotional, or missing the context needed to judge a claim properly.

I wanted to create one place where readers could understand what the evidence says, where that evidence is limited, and how approved medicines, research compounds, and everyday supplements differ — without being pushed toward a decision.

What I Kept Running Into

Search for almost any peptide and the results split into two extremes. On one side: pages written to sell something, where every compound sounds like a breakthrough and the caveats are buried, if they appear at all. On the other: raw academic papers that are accurate but written for researchers, not for someone trying to make an actual decision about their health.

What was missing was the middle — content that took the research seriously enough to represent it accurately, but was written for a person, not a journal. That gap is the reason this site exists.

Why the Regulatory Distinction Matters So Much Here

One thing became clear early on: a huge amount of confusion in this space comes from treating “peptide” as if it were one category. It isn’t. Some peptides — like certain GLP-1 medications — have gone through full clinical trials and carry genuine FDA approval. Others, like BPC-157 and TB-500, are sold as research compounds with little to no human trial data behind them at all. Both get called “peptides.” Both get discussed in the same online spaces. How We Evaluate Evidence

Every guide on this site follows the same process: we start from the primary literature — clinical trials, systematic reviews, and regulatory filings — rather than secondary marketing copy. We state plainly when a compound’s evidence comes from animal studies rather than humans, when a trial was small or uncontrolled, and when a “well-studied” claim doesn’t hold up against what’s actually been published. Regulatory status (FDA, MHRA, EMA, HPRA, and equivalent bodies) is checked against primary sources, not vendor claims.
