The FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) reviewed MOTS-c alongside BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV for potential inclusion on the Category 1 bulk drug substances list. As of this writing, no final decision has been published.

US Regulatory Status, Plainly Stated

MOTS-c is not FDA-approved for any use and has no recognized pharmacopeial monograph. Its inclusion in the July 2026 PCAC review means its compounding status could change, but as of this writing it remains outside both the permitted and explicitly restricted compounding categories.
